Family Life Society (FLS) is a non-profit organisation that offers counselling and care services as well as educational programmes and resources to families and individuals.
They provides 15 programmes and services to reach out to families and individuals, regardless of their background, race or religion, in promoting pro-family and pro-life values. Their mission is to promote a deep understanding and reverence for marriage, family and human life and to make their services available to all.
FLS Programmes
At FLS, they provide counselling services to anyone who needs help and support from marital, psychological, and social to unwanted pregnancies. The counselling function is staffed and managed by our experienced therapists.
FLS also provides counselling education and training to aspiring counsellors. The aim of FLS is to nurture and grow the number of counsellors from parishes in order for them to engage at the grassroots level. These trainings aim to provide “soft skills” and strategies to enable counsellors to serve in their communities.
Joyful Parenting >> This service reaches out to mothers or mother-to-be with breastfeeding advise and support.
Family & Marital Therapy (FMT) >> A confidential service managed and provided by experienced family and marital therapists for those with marital, psychological and social problems.
Couselling in Parishes >> FLS provides free counselling services by our trained lay counsellors in different parishes across Singapore.
Celebration of Life (Education and Formation):
Celebration of Life (COL) >> This is the educational outreach programme of the Family Life Society to promote pro-life and pro-family values in society especially through the schools and the parishes.
Schools Family Education (SFE) >> The Schools Family Education or SFE is a programme initiated by the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS). It is a holistic family learning model – equipping parents with effective parenting skills and training them to be parents, facilitators, helping school staff to enhance their family life, and providing students with life skills training.

Beginning Experience (BE)
A peer support programme for the divorced, widowed and separated.
Choice A weekend stay-in program for singles aged 18 to 35 years, with the aim of discovering self and the importance of relationships within the family, with friends and the larger community
As directed by the Catholic Archbishop of Singapore, the Family Life Society was established as the Family Life Bureau in 1983 and registered in February 1985 as a society (RoS No. 0223/1989) and a charity (Reg. No. 00649) in 15 Apr 1989. It has Institution of Public Character (IPC) status (IPC000350) currently from 1 Nov 2010 to 31 Oct 2012.
