The Church in Singapore collected S$1,538,068 for Tsunami victims. To date, the ACCT has committed most of the Tsunami Fund to 13 reconstruction and rehabilitation projects for Tsunami victims done primarily through other catholic organisations such as Jesuit Refugee Services, Catholic Medical Guild and the Archdiocese of Columbia.

ACCT in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity, a Christian organisation, has in 2005 organized five mission trips involving more than 100 catholic volunteers to build houses for tsunami victims in Indonesia, Sri Lanka and India. Such volunteer trips are ongoing.

Other disasters in which the Church had specifically collected and given aid are: the Philippines Landslide (S$225,489), Pakistan Earthquake (S$349,299) and the Java Earthquake (S$368,059).

In July 2006, the Archdiocese set up a Disaster Aid Fund, administered by ACCT. More than S$400,000 was raised in the first fund raising appeal made with the announcement of the Fund. This Fund would allow the Church to proactively respond to needs in the immediate aftermath of a disaster, and to be able to make grants for specific situations without necessarily initiating a specific weekend collection or fund raising exercise, for that disaster. A total of S$3,598 was also received separately to the ‘Cause for Lebanon'.A total of S$50,000 was sent to the Pontificat Council CorUnum in favour of the ‘Cause for Lebanon'.

In the May 2008 disaster caused by Cyclone Nargis in Myanmar, the Church collected S$774,129 of which S$150,000 has since been disbursed for immediate disaster relief. At the same time, the Church also collected $791,225 in donations for the victims of the earthquake in Sichuan China. ACCT is still in the process of assessing the amount of funds required by each of the disasters and will be disbursing the necessary funds towards projects targeted at providing for the victims so that they can rebuild their lives.
