Morning Star's children's programmes and services offer alternatives to parents who value a holistic approach to education and see that the emotional and social development of their children are as equally important as that of intellectual development.

	Our before and after school care service supports the needs of families who need care and guidance for their primary school going children during their off-school hours.

	NOVA >>
	NOVA is a learning support programme for discouraged and under-achieving children. The nova is a kind of exploding star and in Latin it means 'New'. 'NOVA' is also our acronym for 'Nurturing One's Valuable Attributes'.

	Lifeskills >>
	These lifeskills and character development programmes for primary school children targets their social and emotional development so that they can be successful in life later on.

Youth and the Family >>

Morning Star's youth programmes and services focus on offering mentoring and guidance in a youth's formative years. These crucial years see youth making meaning of themselves, their relationships and the world at large. The workshops, groupwork, and projects facilitate understanding of issues and promote healthy coping and decision making. The Parent-Teen experiential workshops include topics such as parent-teen communication; growing healthy boy-girl relationships and mentoring vs pure instruction and advise giving.

Parents and the Family
Fully aware that parenting is one of the most important skills in life but also one that parents are least equipped with, Morning Star offers Firm Foundation for Families Series programmes that fill this void.


	Parent-Child Programmes
	In our Firm Foundation for Families series, we have parent-child programmes that are specifically designed to facilitate bonding and expression of love between parents and their children.

	Parent-Teens Programmes
	In Shoot for the Stars programme, we offer a series of Parent-Teens experiential workshops that are specifically designed to facilitate greater connection between teens and their parents.

	Parenting Programmes
	Through our Firm Foundation for Families series, we also offer parenting talks, workshops and seminars that address the practical concerns of today's parents.

Elderly

Our Elderly and the Family >>
Morning Star addresses the needs of the senior family members who are frequently spending time alone through their outreach projects and befriending services.

Family and Community


	Case Management Services >>
	Morning Star works with inmates' families, volunteers and staffs actively reach out to them so that those in needs are identified early. Case Management Services are extended to inmates’ families’ members who are at risk and in need. Through these services, they aim to enable these individuals and families who are faced with challenging situations to be able to live their lives meaningfully and independently in the community.

	Counselling & Therapy Services for the Family >>
	In our outreach, it is almost certain that we will come across persons or families that are "entangled" in life as a result of broken relationships and unresolved issues. The counselling and therapy process is a beneficial one that promotes growth and freedom towards wholeness for individuals and families.

	Family-based Programmes and Services >>
	Morning Star programmes address the practical concerns of today's parents in the many roles they play as providers, disciplinarians, guides, coaches, and mentors. Parents obtain a deeper understanding of their child's make-up and needs and walk away with skills they can use to respond to their child's needs. Their Marriage Enrichment Programmes, we draw out new learnings for the couples in their attitude and response towards self and spouse. They build on the existing strengths of their marriage and renew their commitment to each other- the commitment to relate and grow as a couple. Connections under the Stars are fun get-togethers on one Saturday evenings per quarter for families they have encountered through their programmes and services. My Family Times aims at providing the family with light-hearted learning or outdoor activities for the afternoon to enjoy their time together.
