Mission Trips

The Programme
Before every expedition, every mission trip participant goes through a four month preparation stage which includes faith formation, Khmer culture and language, fund-raising, team bonding and project planning and preparation. However, the program does not end after the expedition. The post-expedition activities include necessary follow-ups and the sharing of our experiences with our own community.

The Places
Wat Champa
Located at the banks of Mekong River in the Kien Svay district, this tiny fishing village has about 200 families who are predominantly ethnic Vietnamese Catholics.

Light of Mercy Home
Run by the Providence Sisters, this home in Phnom Penh has about 30 to 40 children, mainly with disabilities such as deaf-mute and blindness.

Little Sprouts Home
Little Sprouts is a program run by the Maryknoll Fathers to provide medicine and care to HIV positive children.  Such children who do not have their own families are housed in one of these homes where they are given a chance to live a normal life. There are nine Little Sprouts homes, all located in Phnom Penh.

La Valla
Located in Ta Khmao district, La Valla is a special school for physically disable children, run by the Marist Brothers.  Some children who come from other far away districts also stay in the school’s boarding house.
