Advent 2007 Charity Projects at Parishes
During this period of Advent, as we reflect on the “coming of our Lord”, we are reminded of His commandment to “love one another as I have loved you”. We are called to love and serve the less fortunate in our midst.

In line with this call, many parishes are conducting Advent projects where parishioners are asked to give their time and money to charity and those in need in the community.




Holy Cross – G.O.D. project
Church of the Holy Cross continues its tradition of asking parishioners to Give One Dollar every week during Advent to charity. >> More

 
Holy Family – Hope for Families
The family is a cornerstone for individual and societal progress, this being the focus of the Marine Parade Family Service Centre (MPFSC). The Church of the Holy Family will be working with MPFSC to raise funds for the Centre as well as promote the programmes of MPFSC to its parishioners during Advent. >> More
 
St. Vincent de Paul – Family for Life
Family life is always a mystery. Hence, Family Life Society (FLS) seeks to develop a deeper understanding and reverence for marriage, family and human life. Church of our Lady Queen of Peace
Together with the World Federation of Catholic Medical Associations (FIAMC), the parish of Our Lady Queen of Peace is organising an Advent Project, which will include a mission trip to Cambodia and raising funds to build an extension to a school run by the Don Bosco sisters. >> More

Immaculate Heart of Mary – Archdiocesan Commission for the Pastoral Care of Migrants and Itinerant People (ACMI)
Migrant workers, being here on their own, often miss their families back home. The Immaculate Heart of Mary will be collaborating with ACMI in an effort to raise funds and promote programmes for migrant workers to its parishioners during Advent. >> More

Our Lady of Perpetual Succour
This Advent, OLPS in the spirit of Christmas and of welcoming Jesus into our hearts and homes, is organizing a "Crib Making" competition to encourage families to work together and remember the true meaning of Christmas.
 
   
     





We encourage you to actively support your parish Advent project.

In addition to the parish projects, you can contribute to the many Catholic social and community organizations under the umbrella of CSCC. Collectively, these organizations such as Catholic Welfare Services, Roman Catholic Prison Ministry, CARE, etc whose work touch the lives of more than 40,000 beneficiaries of different races, language
and religions. Who you help when you give to CSCC
