In 1978, St. Joseph's Home was set up by the Catholic Welfare Services to provide shelter, care and love for the aged and destitute, regardless of race or religion. The Canossian Sisters volunteered their services for the administration and running of the home. The Sisters were fully involved from its conception to the present day-to-day care of the residents.
In 1985, in response to a pressing need to care for patients with |
| advanced illness, a hospice was started. In 1993, St Joseph’s Home moved to its present premises to cater to the growing needs of the residents. |
