In 1973, the Singapore Council of Social Services invited the FMDM sisters to staff a home for the elderly poor and destitute. Four years later, on 8 January 1977, the first Villa Francis Community was established. The FMDM Sisters continued to run and finance the Home until 2002 when it was transferred to Catholic Welfare Services. |

Today, Villa Francis is being managed with the assistance of the Canossian Sisters. Villa Francis offers a home for the elderly sick and destitute. It is dedicated to providing a continuum of holistic care, while continually improving the care for the elderly and aged sick through a spectrum of comprehensive nursing and well-balanced programme to enhance the quality of life in their twilight years. Villa Francis has a team of clinical, occupational and physiotherapy professionals, supported by a team of volunteers, providing much needed care to the residents. |
