One of Caritas Singapore's roles is to fundraise a pool of money for the Church's charitable work.

To ensure proper governance and accountability over the disbursement of the money to
the various groups that do such work, Caritas Singapore's Grants and Capacity Building Committee has established a process for grant making activities that includes the following:
- Early engagement
- Application
- Evaluation
- Approval
- Agreement
- Disbursement
- Monitoring

In general, there are two window periods in which interested
organisations may apply for grants:
- By end January
- By end July
